Learn the basics of LetsWork
How do I create an account?
Visit the registration page and choose your role — Client or Freelancer. Fill in your email and password, verify your email, and you're all set.
Can I switch between Client and Freelancer?
Roles are set at registration and cannot be changed. If you need both, you can create a separate account with a different email.
How do I complete my profile?
Go to Dashboard → Profile. Add your bio, skills, hourly rate (freelancers), or company details (clients). A complete profile increases your visibility.
For Clients
Hiring and managing freelancers
How do I post a job?
Go to Dashboard → Post a Job. Add a title, description, required skills, budget range, and experience level. Click Publish to make it live.
How do I hire a freelancer?
Review applications on your job page, shortlist candidates, chat with them via Messages, then change their status to Hired to create a contract.
How do I pay for completed work?
When a freelancer submits work on a contract, a Pay button appears. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. A 10% platform fee applies.
For Freelancers
Finding work and getting paid
How do I find jobs?
Browse the Jobs page and filter by skills, budget, or category. Click any job to view details and apply with a cover letter and proposed rate.
How do contracts work?
When hired, a contract is created. Accept it to begin work. Once the client funds the contract, you can submit your deliverables.
When do I get paid?
After you submit work and the client marks the contract as complete, your payout is processed. Payouts are handled through Stripe Connect.

Understanding payments and fees
What payment methods are accepted?
LetsWork uses Stripe for all payments. Clients can pay with credit/debit cards. Freelancers receive payouts to their connected bank account.
What are the platform fees?
A 10% service fee is applied to each payment. This covers payment processing, platform maintenance, and customer support.
Are payments secure?
Yes. All payments are held in escrow until work is approved. We use Stripe's enterprise-grade security for all transactions.

Chatting with clients and freelancers
How do I message someone?
Conversations are created automatically when a client shortlists an applicant. Go to Dashboard → Messages to view and respond to conversations.
Can I message anyone on the platform?
Messaging is tied to job applications. You can only message people you have an active application relationship with.
Are messages delivered in real time?
Messages are refreshed every few seconds so you'll see new messages quickly. Use Enter to send and Shift+Enter for a new line.
Account & Security
Managing your account safely
How do I reset my password?
Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page. Enter your email and we'll send a reset link that expires in 1 hour.
Why is my account suspended?
Accounts may be suspended for violating our Terms of Service. Contact support if you believe this was done in error.
How do I delete my account?
Contact our support team at support@tryletswork.com to request account deletion. Active contracts must be completed or cancelled first.
